Ok so the car has been sitting for a couple months now.. Well Me and a buddy did the P.I. intake swap today.. Every thing went on good and as far as we can tell there are no leaks.. But on the first couple start-ups it idles like pure crap.. Sounds like i have majors cammage.. Now like i said every thing it put back where it came from and it doesnt seem to be leeking any where.. Is it normal to idle rough for a little bit or should I be worried some thing went wrong or could my gas be bad after sitting for a few months??

sounds like a vacuum leak,
check your vacuum line connections and spray some carb cleaner around to check for leaks.

If you hear it idle up, there's your leak.

Anywhere there could be a leak, vacuum lines, around the throttle body where it bolts to the intake, around the intake manifold gasket... etc.

I've also heard you can use a propane torch (of course not ignited) to check for leaks.

When I did mine, I got a lot of fluid down the spark plug holes when I took off the NPI intake. Did you make sure it was all cleared out? Definately doublecheck for leaks as well for sure.

leaks are the common problem, other then that let it run. the idle problems are common whenever you put a fresh intake on that doesn't have fluids going threw it

+1 on checking the spark plug wells...

Even if they look clean, sometimes there are remnants of coolant trapped in there. So I would doubl check for that.

Make sure all the clamps around the intake boot are tight, IAC tube is on tight. Insure that the plug boots are on tight and correctly(seated against the head.)

Monitor your coolant level also, just to make sure that there arent any leaks... Yu should be fine though.

Did you clean the mating surfaces before you put the manifold down with brake cleaner and rag? If you used the old gasket make sure it was clean and the rubber sections are still plyable. Make sure you torq the bolts to the specified range and in the correct sequence. Sometimes antifreeze can be the culprit. If it is let it run and it should burn off.
