I painted the pony & my 3rd brakelight black. They both turned out pretty good. The brakelight is more tinted than painted
Side markers are my next target :knuppel2:

Lookin good man... what did you use on your thrid brakelight?

I used the spray can tint on mine and because it has a concave it all like..... poured into the middle of it. it sucked.

im going to try it again soon with black spray paint. I got a spare pony emblem from the junk yard and painted it black.... looks so good but i sanded my stock chrome one down with a scott brite pad last night and then polished it. it looks like a mirror. looks so intense. I dont know if i can ever go back to the black.... i prolly will tho

i just used a black rattle can on both of em
on the light i just dide about 5 very thin coats on it, you can no longer see the red, but you can still see the light good when you push the brake
i sanded the hell out of the pony, hit it with 3 coats of black, and then put some of that rubber clear coat on it for protection, and it looks great

sweet. This may be a dumb question, but if you just paint them black instead of using a plastic cover, does the light still shine through alright?

i like the 96-98 tails better, but i'm biased.

the original 60's and 70's mustangs came with vertical tails, so i think all mustangs should have vertical tails, just my opinion
