I have 94 Cobra that I purchased that had clear coat peeling really bad on the passenger quarter panel, I also had paint missing on my front bumper. I have never painted a car or done any body work before. So I figured how much worse can it get if I do a poor job. Order some paint, clear and sanding supplies. Final result looks better, its a 10-15 footer but now at least I dont have primer showing and clear peeling. Still has some orange peel, I tried wetsanding but it still shows.
paint/body is not for the faint of heart if your wanting perfection. As bad as it looks there is all kinds of room to make it look or age worse. Your not going to just respray that as much as strip/prep/paint/clear and this has nothing to say about blending it all to look right.
