I just traded my "crappy" 96-98 carbon fiber tails for some factory 94-95's. Since the color is off I was gonna paint them. Is mostly just a basic intelligence ordeal or? I don't want to screw em up!

Thanks

just basic paint skills needed. mask, scuff, clean, paint, polish. good luck getting the paint to match the body color.

just make them a flat, satin, or a gloss black for the bezel's around the lens.
This, I went for a semi-gloss look, as I was trying to match my hood. It's not hard to do, but be prepared to spend about 2-3 hours masking the lenses...

I did this not to long ago.. you'll waste a surprising amount of time masking. But prep work is the only way to ever get decent painting results on anything.
