well i finally called the post office because i was pissed off that my tuner hasnt shown up yet. and they told me that they have no verification of it ever showing up to the post office in el paso, TX. it was electronically sent but not physically if that makes any sense.
i ordered it through texas hotrods. i doubt they'll screw me over. but i'm just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this with a company? if so what was the outcome of it all? did it take 30 years to finally get it settled of did they rush a new one out ASAP?

i've already emailed and left a voicemail but havent gotten a reply. just figured i'd ask what you guys thought.

thanks

ok well they called me yesterday and said that its the post office's fault so they're doing an investigation and it could take upwards of 60 days! she said she'd talk to her manager about sending a new one but i dont think its going to happen.. i will call them back monday cuz they havent called me to let me know what they decided.
should i be pushing them to send a new one or even refund my money? or would that just be a waste of time?

Texas Hot Rods has a history of doing this type of thing, up to and including taking peoples money for turnkey car's they never deliver.

All that means is they purchased a shipping label for it, and never dropped it off at the PO. Tell them you want your money back, or tell your credit card company you want a chargeback.

Most places will be closed Monday. However, when you do talk to them, don't tell them you will go to the credit card company, they may be shady enough to take steps to keep that from working.

I would just tell them I want a refund, give them until Thursday to issue it, and if you don't get it, call the card company without their knowledge.

They have some good deals but their feedback as a seller keeps me away from them

well it seems they cant admit fault so its the "POST OFFICE'S" fault.
they told me that i can send them payment for another one and then get the refund for this one down the road when the post office pays them for it.

i asked again to have the manager call me.. hopefully i get somewhere with this tomorrow.
what do i tell my credit card company if i am to call them tomorrow and ask for a chargeback?

Tell them you purchased goods, did not receive them, and they are refusing to refund you. They will issue a temporary chargeback and launch their own investigation.

Since THR can't prove tghey sent you anything (because they didn't) they will have to refund the money to the card company.

Eh, it's hard to say, I just got an Easter card in the mail today too, lol. But, maybe THR just shot it out the door ASAP when they got a complaint too, who knows.

A local confectioners was offering free easter eggs online, i ordered one for my little girl for fun, got an e-mail this morning, along the lines of:
"sorry blah blah, oversubscribed offer blah blah, many apologies, if you want one, go into our nearest branch [20 mile round trip city centre, pay to park] but pick it up before next tuesday" You can guess my reply. :knuppel2:
What a waste of time, at least you got your package. :thumb:
