I live in the Chicago suburbs and here they make us emissions test our cars. what has to be done to pass emissions with an off road x/h pipe. I haven't modified anything yet just wonder for future reference. they make me test my DD every year and that's a 2002. Will mil eliminators help pass emissions? All they do is make sure all readiness monitor's are ran and no codes are present.

you'll need to put cats on the car because there's a visual inspect they have to do as well plug into the OBD2 port.
If you don't have a CEL on, then mil eliminators were installed then the o/r pipe was installed

I get sniffed in ATL too. For a couple years I changed back to cats for the E-test then changed back to the o/r pipe for the rest of the year.
I minimal gains with the o/r pipe. A little less in the low end, a little more on the hi end.

If your cats are shot, you could hollow them out and install mil-eliminators to keep the CEL off. But I would'nt suggest that with good cats.
