PCV valve question

Im just trying to figure out what goes in the PCV valve holes on both the passenger and driver side. Currently have a plastic elbow going into the driver side valve cover and the PCV valve in the hole of the passenger side, is this correct or do I need the valves for both sides?

What is the correct grommets to keep both that elbow and the valve to stay in the valve cover?

I don’t remember the driver side valve cover having a grommet but there are a couple different variations with and without that plastic elbow.
