After dropping the transmission for a 4th time in the past 3 months, this is getting super annoying. What started with a trans leak got fixed, then and oil leak started. Just took it out again to replace the rear main seal and hoped that would be the solution. But sure enough, parked it in the driveway for the night, went to leave for school in the morning and as it has numerous times before, left a puddle of oil about the size of a softball. I can't figure out where its leaking for the life of me. I put it up on jack stands in the front yesterday and ran it for about half an hour or so, not one single drop. Put it back down and shut it off. Checked it again this morning and there was about a quarter sized spot of oil. It seems to only leak when the car's off. Anyone had this problem or any suggestions of where/what to check next????

when you replaced your rear main seal (and removed your flywheel) did you use thread sealer on the flywheel bolts? (or black RTV)

Yupp, used thread sealer on the flywheel bolts. Anybody ever use this dye you put in your oil to see where the leak is it? it shows a different color with a blacklight. If not I was considering using like a gasket sweller.

Well put that oil dye in it today to check it out and sure enough, oil pan gasket was leaking all over the drivers side. I talked to a guy at a local shop and he was saying that if the thrust bearing goes out then you'll get some crankshaft play and that will fuck with the rear main seal. Anyone else ever had this problem or know of a way to check it???

Update: pulled up the engine, dropped the pan, sure enough, my oil pan gasket was almost completely ripped apart in one spot near the back. While under there, found out my oil pick up was bent?! dunno how the fuck that happened but got a new one and a new pump and fixed the problem with low oil pressure! Put in a new through out bearing since the old one was squeaking but its doing it again and just got it back together yesterday to possibly the clutch needing to be adjusted? Also put in new sway bar bushings since my old ones were dry rotted and falling apart. Replaced idle tension pulley since the old one you could feel like marbles when you spun it. But its all back together now and running better than ever =]
