phenolic spacer size?

What is the biggest spacer that you can put on a cobra/gt40 intake? I have been considering adding nitrous to my 94 but would like to use a plate if I can. I found one but the plate is 5/8" thick, I though 3/8" was the thickest we could use with the stock hood?

I thought someone mentioned 1" started touching the underhood pad, not sure though.

my 3/8 rubs the hood blanket in one corner already so I know 1" is waaaay too big. I am sure I will have to loose the blanket but If that is the case I do not want my intake rubbing the raw hood....

my stock hood bearly toucher my intake with a 1" spacer, including two gaskets. Hood closes without a problem

1" spacer is usually too much for most, 5\8ths is just over half an inch so you should be good.

does anyone know for sure? I am not going to buy it and hope it fits.....

if it doesnt fit you always get lower motor mounts. arent the early vert style mount suppose to give you a lil drop
