I swapped out my NPI intake mani for a PI because it was leaking. I didn't have the second coolant sensor tapped. So, now I've had a CEL, a coolant light on, and my fan doesn't kick on anymore. My question is if there is any way to sort of bypass the second coolant sensor or something, to get the lights off and the fan to kick on? Or will it have to be tapped to fix the issues?

BTW I'm assuming the fan isn't working due to the second coolant sensor, I swapped in the winter and now that it's warming up I'm noticing it shooting up a lot while idling.

Yeah unfortunally our cars have two sensors.. one is for your temp and one controls your fans..

if your new pi intake has a aluminum crossover, then you can simply swap your crossovers and add your sensor..

if not, you will have to drill. although ive seen the thermostat housing modified for a sensor.. also their is a plug on the driver's side head too

you need both installed for all to be good, its easy to drill and tap the Xover or have a bung welded into the Tstat housing.

also (some will say don't do this) but the 2nd senor can reach where the first sensor is (that goes to the dash) until you get it fixed you can unscrew the sensor and just screw it into the one where the dash sensor goes. that way you can atleast make sure your fans and all are running correctly till you get the problem fixed
