I did PI intake and cams swap and now I have coolant leak- passenger side. I used PI gaskets with RTV in the corner of the water jacket where the gasket doesn't seal entirely (driver side and passenger). I have new NPI gaskets, maybe I should use NPI with RTV (8 holes, but not water jacket)???. or buy adapters ?I contacted HPS and Texas Hot Rods but they don't know how or don't want to send HPS adapters to Poland in Europe :angry7: (I have paypal). Can someone help me?

sorry for my English:)

When I did my swap I used new FelPro NPI gaskets and just a dab of RVT and have had no leaks at all. The only way to stop the leak is to redo it, use the NPI gaskets and see what happens

You got your gaskets wrong man, you needed to use the NPI gaskets and a dab of RTV. I remember setting the PI gaskets on there and noticing that there were a LOT more areas that would have needed filling/plugging. Open 'er up and use NPI gaskets and you'll be golden.

I used PI gaskets and only needed a dab of the RTV on the water jacket, The NPI leave far more areas to be sealed and over time the fuel could break down the RTV if done that way. The PI gasket is the best way to go.

How long did you let it sit? It needs to cure for at least 24 hours before you start it.

Thanks for help! I did PI intake swap again with NPI gaskets + RTV. Now there is no leak! car is much stronger after 4000 rpm :) I found information how to use NPI with RTV here: http://web.archive.org/web/20070501083917/http://www.redpulsar.us/~coldfusion/intakeswap.html
Now i have another question, I have Pi intake, Pi cams, BBK H pipe, Flowmaster catback, K&N air intake. Do I need a tune? I have xcal2 9400, where can I buy cheap mail tune for my modifications (I want to have 93 octane tune)?

Good to hear you got 'er leak free. From my experience, you're not going to be able to get a "canned" or "mail" tune for a PI cam/intake modification. I called around and was told by a few places that if I wanted a tune, it would have to be a "custom" one (which means dyno time and more $$). I've run for 2 years with my mods and no tune without any problems besides failed emissions (probably because I've never had properly working cats on the car). If you happen to find a canned tune for the PI swap, let me know!!
