I did and I found a couple bolts that had loosened up about a quarter of a turn, but it seems that after a round of tightening they all stayed tight,

hmm i wonder... can we use those bolts that has the allen wrench thing that spreds them out after you tighten them up? or can we not even use those or get to them when tight...

Stage 8 bolt's, I dunno, but they do work, I've had them on my truck with crappy Summit header's for year's.

Stage 8's are what I got too, but the instructions say to go through a few heat cycles before putting the locks on. so that what I did. It turned out nice, and like I said I am pretty sure my exhaust leak is from where the egr tubr meets the headers.

It was a different feeling for me after I did the swap. My car felt the same up to 4,000 RPM's. I didn't get on it until I got it dyno tuned, though. And after I got it tuned it was a different animal. I was detonating really, really bad at low RPM's. My car was running crappy. Get a tune and you'll see the real gains... Congrats, though. :thumb:

Thanks, man. Yeah, I dropped a full second at the track, but yeah I can really tell that a good tune would help a huge deal. Looking at getting it tunes sometime in the near future. Did you take yours to a shop or did you buy a hand held?

I think I'm gonna pick up the Sniper tuning software. I was just reading the thread on it and sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. 400 bucks for pretty much unlimited tuning, cant beat it. I'm close enough to the track here that I can take a laptop with me on the weekend and do it myself. The track beats the dyno any day, imho.

Sooo... where'd you buy all your gaskets and whatnot from?

google Parkway Performance. They sell a whole kit with heads and intake for like 1400 bucks, but just give them a call. Tell them what your doing and what you already have. I picked up the heads and intake myself, then called them and got everything else for like 300 bucks. When I say everything, I mean I didn't have to leave my garage for a damn thing once I got started. Not sure on how competative the price is if you were to peice all the parts/gaskets together yourself, but it seems like a good price, and the convience really can't be beat.
