friend of mines f150 jumped timing on one bank, bending 4 valves. guy who is fixing it says the bottom end is fine. would there be any issues putting pi mustang heads and cams in? im sure he would have to retain his f series intake manifold for fitment issues or buy an aftermarket unit.

modular stuff interchanges even with the f-150's, I actually have pi stuff from a 2004 explorer on my 96 gt. Just had to swap my sensors and drill a small hole in plastic.

Isn't the PI and NPI intakes different and adapter plates are needed?

what does that have to do with a F-150 using mustang heads?

Sorry I was assuming that the F-150 was NPI...

well i assumed it was a PI, i guess it could be a NPI. but the way his question is worded, it sounds like his friend isnt into modding and it is just to get the truck running and Mustang heads are more readily available to them

yes its a 2000, which from the research ive done f150's/cv/gm didnt get the pi until 2001. i also found him a low mileage engine out of a 99 gm, just gathering some options for him.
