Pics from the AutoX

Here's a gallery from my first autocross in the Mustang. There were only two other stangs beside mine, a nice 85 Notch and a Mach 1. My pics are on pages 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 20, and 23. I was going to just post them on here but thats a huge pain in that arse haha.

My fav is the one on page 23. My car looks purdy except for the whole nasty drivers headlights... although those pics are probably the best I've had to capture the silver pearl in the paint. ccasion14:

The guy who was there and takes most of the pics does a great job. He's taken a few others of mine at a car show I attended and has taken a bunch of my sister's 68 bugs at shows. I see him everywhere and his pictures are always really nice. She took the time to add hers to facebook so I can post those her...

She got 2nd in Custom 68+ VW and People's choice award this day.

damn son you weren't kidding about the suspension bowing because of your stock shocks and struts. Best way to learn though is with a stock car, looks like you had a blast!

Looks like fun man...paint looks great, when are u going to get new headlights/wheels? Your car will be sick once u swap them out.

I'll probably be getting new headlights here in a few months. Doubt I'll be getting new wheels and tires soon though unless I find a deal simply because I have too many other projects to get done first.

I got 53rd out of 53 hahah. I was having a really hard time triyng to figure out how hard I could push it. I tried a few different appproaches, really aggresive, very conservative, and all sorts of in between and still pushed out bad times but oh well. I had a blast.

Yup, dead last, a couple seconds behind the next person in front of me. Most of the cars there were little Miatas, S2000s, Neons, little stuff. There was a Mach 1 that goes to a ton of the events and he did fairly well. The other Mustang, the 85 Notch, had a few mods but not many and the driver was also in the Novice class even though he used to AutoX all the time about 15 years ago, only placed about 4 places ahead of me. I got beat by a H Stock Accord hahaha.

damn man. I guess you have to practice more, Idk even though I've never autoXed I think I'd be upset if i came in last place lol. sounds like there was some good competition though, on a course that small it seems like a Miata or something of the like would be hard to beat.

Yea, my Mustang just doesn't handle. It was really hard to determine what the car was doing and it just seemed to throw itself into corners, no matter how aggresive I drove. I know I'm not the best driver but I didn't expect to be dead last, but its all good. I had fun and thats what it comes down to.
