Here are some pics and videos from the wknd. Sturgis mustang rally '09. 450+ cars in the show and shine and almost 100 went to the dragstrip. dont know how many were in the parade but there was a shitload and no clue on how many ran @ the auto cross. On the radio they estimated 800 stangs in town for the labor day wknd event. Fun time for sure

Here are some vidoes from the track. its only an 1/8th mile and my first time ever running on a dragstrip. It was fun as hell and im going to start going to the track now. I wasnt running that great but i was happy with it bein my first time. This track isnt known for the best prep/traction and they didnt let us line up in the groove.

1st run ever. spun badly in 1st, kinda short shifted a bit and spun in 2nd still and even when i hit 3rd you can hear the tires chirp and spin a bit

2nd run missed 3rd but hooked decent

1st elimination run. guy had a red light. chased him down. i just realized you can hear him purge too. didnt realize he was spraying
