I live in NC , there are pine trees as far as the eye can see. . . and farther. So inevitably some spec of pine sap is going to end up on your car no matter how carefull you are. Well that faithful day came 'round again. However this time i have somewhat fresh paint. So what can i use to safely get pine sap of without damaging my paint? If anyone says rubbing alcohol you're getting banned from the forum :tongue3: I think this could be very helpful information for a lot of people out there so whomever has any sort of insight into the subject feel free to chime in. Thanks

I do believe you will be fine using some rubbing alcohol, or some goo be gone type stuff. I usually use a claybar or it really stubborn I will pull it off with a cutting pad and some poorboys polish. Not really that big a deal when it is just a little tree sap, but if you get lots on your car it sure is a pita!

Do you have one of those do it yourself car washes in your area? If you have one with hot water go use that. I have one near me that uses hot water on the soap cycle and power wash and it will warm up sap and gum etc and blast it off .

They're so nice in the winter.

Another vote for Tarminator. I've used a lot of products to remove sap and Tarminator works the best by far.

I use tarminator also. Very fast and efficient. Don't believe all that other crap about clay and warm soapy water.

Yeah because no way could hot pressurized water work on a sticky heat sensitive substance.
