So . . . there were tons of low ten second cars . . lots of nine second cars . . . even lots of eight second cars.

What did they pick for the final 16??? 12.50 cars!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that the 8,000 people that showed up would have rather seen some wheelstands and some cars that get down the track. But 12.50?

BTW . . . I ran a 10.08 on a very soft tune. Corrected for altitude, that's about a 9.80 at my home track.

That sucks! I cant bring myself to watch pinks all out anymore. I think it sucks in comparison to the original pinks. I can watch the original pinks all day but not the new pinks all out.

I am definately in the minority here. Why not give the sportsman class a chance for a change. There can be some good racing with the slower cars. They always go with the 10 second cars.

Props to Pinks. :thumb:

Pinks sucks and pretty much always has. The All-Out variant is a little better but still flawed. What a tool Rich Christensen is.

Rich, will you agree that you were outperformed by the motorcycle.

I totally agree. It seems they always seem to go with low 10 seconds cars or high 9's. I am glad they went a different direction for a change. Like you said, it gave the sportsman class guys a chance to be on the show. Also, that's likely where they had the closest cluster of 16 cars for the eliminations, which is what they strive for. I love the show and much prefer it to the original Pinks. No peddling or b.s. with lengths. Both shows get great ratings on SPEED and I always watch them.

I'll call out whoever will run!!!

As far as a 9 second pass, on November 16th, I'll run 9.80 or better. :boink:

Even with the fancy new motor, you're still stuck in the 10s? ???

What track were you at and what is the correction factor?

It was a soft tune with only 30* of timing in it. It's not a new motor . . it's the same motor with a new RA and cam.

I was at SIR in Tucson. NHRA correction factor is .9727 http://www.nhra.com/tech_specs/altitude.html

I'll be heading out to Speedworld either today or next weekend. You should come out.

Because it's boring to watch. I guarantee that everyone who paid $20 bucks to get in wasn't expecting to watch slow cars duke it out.

I'm not pissed because I didn't get picked. I just think it's a bad call for the show to run slow cars. It just isn't good TV . . nor is it good for the fans who showed up to see the race.

Oh yeah, Brandon Hayduke was there too. He went 10.36 @ 136 in his turbo car on drag radials. He thinks he went faster on a later run, but didn't get a timeslip.

I thought the new motor was 446 ci with a humoungous cam?

Paul.

I like watching real cars race on the show as well as race cars...
It's rare they pick 12.5 cars... I think I'd enjoy that episode as it's an actual street car....

Sorry ya didn't get picked... but I think it'd make good TV :)

It's the same motor I ran all season, but we upped the displacement from 427 to 444 (at least by my math, 4.1" stroke and 4.155" bore). We changed the cam from a 720 lift to 800 and the lobe center from 108 to 110.

The barometric pressure was about 27
