Pinks sucks and pretty much always has. The All-Out variant is a little better but still flawed. What a tool Rich Christensen is.

Rich, will you agree that you were outperformed by the motorcycle.

I really like pinks, i like the new shows they brought on too like blow it up and the one where the people guess how fast the car is.

HAHAH, i saw that epsiode lol

I am definately in the minority here. Why not give the sportsman class a chance for a change. There can be some good racing with the slower cars. They always go with the 10 second cars.

Props to Pinks. :thumb:

i agree with matt, the first several all out's were around 10 sec. as a viewer i enjoy seeing some of the other cars out there.

I hear ya. I also enjoy watching paint dry, celebrity ballroom dancing, infomercials, reruns of the Golden Girls, and knitting competitions.

Watching the fast cars gets boring. I'm hoping for a 19 second competition.

i understand........your pissed your class didn't get picked. there's a lot of nice cars on pinks that don't run 10's. all of us but you don't have 10 sec cars so its nice to see cars that are closer to what we have. i hear ya about the golden girls, most older people still like to watch that show.

Damn that sucks Tad. :nonono:

I guess the use of a more "everyday" type of car is what they are looking for now. I can watch the race cars all day though. If I really need to see a "street" car I could go to the test and tune night. But I'm guessing they are trying to grab the interest of those that dont really race...

No . . I'm not pissed my class didn't get picked. I don't think my car ran consistent enough to get in the show, anyway.

If they had picked a mid 9s class, I would have stayed and watched. Even a high tens class might have been interesting. But, when they announced 12.50s, I loaded up the trailer and split.

It has nothing to do with not getting picked. I just think that 99% of audiences like to see the faster cars. The reaction of the crowd was definitely behind the fast cars and the ones that yanked the tires and did good burnouts. When the slower cars were running, the audience stayed in their seats.

All I'm saying is that I don't think slow cars are as interesting to watch as fast cars. Nothing against 12.50 cars. My car used to run in the 12s (I think for about a week ::))and it was a lot of fun. I just don't think that 12.50 cars were what the majority of the audience came to see.

I can't recall ANY episode of Pinks (All Out or the original Pinks) that they ran cars that slow.

I like to watch the sportsman classes. Just because they don't run 10's does not mean it is boring. Whats the difference between having 16 cars that run between 10.00 and 10.05, or 12.50 and 12.55. It is still 5 hundreths of a second. The main thing is that they put on some close racing, that is what makes it interesting.

I enjoy seeing real streetcars running against eachother, and wouldn't mind watching the 12.50 cars run. Fast cars are tons of fun too, but I don't think the 12.50 cars are boring by any means.

i think they picked a class that was vert tight and competitive....no disrespect or nothing but 12.5 cars can still be entertaining...

The difference is wheelstands, big burnouts, fighting with traction, and the probability that some of the 10.0-10.5 cars will get out of shape. There is a HUGE difference between 10.0 and 12.5. This is reflected by the NHRA rules which impose a plethora of safety measures if you want to go 10s.

It's not the hundredths (or thousandths) of a second at the end of the track, it's what happens along the way that makes it interesting. According to your logic, 30 second cars would be just as interesting as long as they are within a few hundredths at the stripe.

It's just personal preference, but I really don't like top fuel dragsters . . they bore me. Funny cars, on the other hand, are exciting to watch because the cars are animals and the drivers have to reign them in to even get them down the track. It's not so much the speed, it's the nature of the cars themselves. I also greatly prfer Outlaw cars to Prostock, for the same reason. The Outlaw cars are a wild ride, while the Prostock cars look like they are heading to Burger King . . . even though they run about the same speed.

If I want to watch 12.5 second cars, I'll sit in the circle K parking lot at Scottsdale and Shea and watch the M3s and Vettes take off from the light . . lol.

real streetcars can run faster than 12.5s

I was talking to my neighbor about that very thing. My car was an 11.10-11.20 car when it was a street car . . lol.

i think your a little to harsh on the 12.5 thing tad haha 12.5 is not terribly slow....it takes money to get to 12.5 ....if they went with a 15 second field then yeah thats slow ....
