i think your a little to harsh on the 12.5 thing tad haha 12.5 is not terribly slow....it takes money to get to 12.5 ....if they went with a 15 second field then yeah thats slow ....

I'm not trying to be harsh on 12.5 cars. I was very proud of my car when it reached that point.

All I'm saying is that they just aren't that interesting to watch . . . especially on TV which makes everything look slower.

i like watching all cars races to a point and i think 14 seconds and slower is it.....

i however have no interest in funny cars or top fuel stuff.,....i only like cars that look like real cars ...like your O0 but i also dont care for cars once they get to the point they have to be opened up and freshed after every few passes....takes the fun out of it

Tad I like you and your car... but I think in this case you're being ignorant....

Not all of us drive race cars... I like to watch cars on Pinks that are similar to mine... it's fun to relate.

I can't relate to your race car...yes they are fun to watch... but so are 12 second cars as well.

Just seems like you're a little upset that they didn't pick you.... it happens man...

Opinions are like a--holes; everyone has one and lots of them stink. I see no reason to bash Pinks All Out for picking 12.5 cars. To me, that's pretty darn fast. I too, can relate to those cars than to all out race cars. Also, if every Pinks All Out episode had low 10 second cars, it would discourage others from even showing up and that would be a shame. A lot of guys put all their time and money into achieving mid 12's from their cars. Props to Rich and his crew for going against the grain on this one.

totally agree not everyone got the bank to make a 9 second car....and im sure the huge fan base that the show has dont all drive 9 second cars...it gives hope to some of us up and coming racers that are not quite 10 second material hope that we can join the fun ....

if i want to watch pure drag cars, i would just watch the drag races on espn, by this theory all the 8 sec car guys should think pinks sucks for choosing the slow 10 sec cars

So Tim Lynch has a car that is a little faster than we do. Doesn't mean he thinks we blow. Sheesh!

I'm not upset I didn't get picked. I didn't deserve to get picked, because my car wasn't consistent enough to put me in a class. That's what happens when you jam the motor in the night before the event and make your first pass on the motor at the event.

There's no way they would have picked my car. On the three runs I got slips for it ran 10.21, then 10.08, then 10.33 (spinning the tires). I don't even know what I ran on the "arm drop" run, but I know it sucked because my battery wasn't properly charged and the car was breaking up at high rpm.

In short, there was no way I was getting into the show because I didn't perform up to MY standards . . let alone theirs. Even if they had chosen 10.0-10.20 cars, I wouldn't have been picked.

I don't have anything against 12.5 cars . . but it is a "drag racing" show that has been built on the faster cars. And, if they had announced ahead of time that they were going with a 12.50 class . . . a whole lot more cars would have showed up.

If they wanna run 12.50 cars . . so be it. But publicize it first so that 200 9-10 second guys don't waste their time and money going to the event and 8,000 people don't buy tickets expecting to see wheelstands and fast cars.

I just talked to a buddy who was in the stands when they announced the 12.50 class. The crowd booed.

Wow, I think you might be more arrogant than me.

You have a 14:1 compression 446 ci alcohol motor in a dedicated drag car that is stuck in the 10s, and yet you continue to make condescending statements about the many thousands of other racers who have 12 second cars, and those people who might have some interest in watching them. That seems a bit counterintuitive to me. How about giving a little credit where credit is due, and leaving well enough alone?

If you didn't want to "waste your time" maybe you shouldn't have showed up.

That's just my humble opinion.

Paul.
