whenever i get into trouble i just let off the gas and steer out of it or lightly tap brakes/gas whichever one I feel like i need

why not?? when you brake, weight transfers foward.. let off from braking, weight transfers back.
floor it, weight transfers back.. let off throttle, weight transfers foward..

Exactly, which is why I asked if you, RioRed96GT, were talking about lifting off the throttle. If you were talking about the brakes, then to some extent, yes the weight will transfer rearward, however, it will settle, and if you are still decelerating in some manner, even the slightest bit, the weight will be biased towards the front slightly.
