Hi I own a 1998 ford mustang gt manual, recently I did do PI intake swap, after third try its still leaking, I went to HPS and bought the adapter, and install it , and its still leaking and smoke alot too, I check the oils and its very little milky, so I change it after swap the intake with the adapter, the oils is still clean, no sign of milky, but still leak coolant and smoke alot. Money is problem right now, and I really need this car up and running, I really want to swap in a 99-04 PI engine,

What part I need to swap PI engine, in my mustang, will I still use the same clutch or tranny ?

Its hard to swap ? what online store that carry good clean and cheap PI engine ?

Money is problem right now, im willing to pay 1k for the engine . Thanks

I order the adapter from HPS, and they told me use silicon on water port between the adapter and the head, on top of the adapter just put on the gasket , no need for silicon, im using felpro 01-03 PI gasket with 04 PI intake.

What heater hose are you guy taking about ? I dont really know wat its look like.

hmmm, i don't get it... why not use a npi gasket on the bottom and pi gasket on the top... i see no use in messing with rvt... thats what you do when you don't use adapters...

i never understood how you can burn antifreeze and the oil can get in the antifreeze(and antifreeze in oil) if the intake gasket has a leak.

the oil and antifreeze both don't pass through the intake. they pass throught the block and heads and radiator.

Antifreeze gets into the ports.. drops down by way of the valve.. then gets blown by the rings and mixes with the oil.. it causes a loss in compression.. just depends on how much oil/water is mixed

How thick are those mating plates? And are they port matched from pi to npi?
1/4 its will work with stock hood, I went out and bought one bottle of head gasket repair, I follow the instruction and now the car seem no or less smoke then before, I just need this car to get thru the winter, next summer it will drop in PI engine.

How long did you let the RTV silicone to sit before you ran it? Maybe it didn't cure long enough and thats why it was leaking?

I let my rtv on their with the adapter on top for 24 hours, before I use the adapter, I did PI gasket with rtv around the water port, I still let it sit for 24 hours before coolant add, but still leak. I think i got a crack some where inside the engine, not the intake , and I think my NPI intake was never crack ( 130k miles ), cause when I change out the T-stat , I seen alot coolant was in their. But bar leak product was help me out alot lol.
