i have a 95 gt vert...... ok i was driving to work yesterday and i drove over a set of railroad track it was a little bumpy and then i lost all power to the car. so i pulled over and tryed start the car and nothing. i didnt hear the fuel pump prim up so i check all the fuses and all were fine and even check the switch in the trunk and it was not tripped. got it towed home and the next day i droped the tank and replaced the fuel pump thinking it was bad and now the with the new pump it still wont prime up. i did a little reading and thought it might be the ccrm under the hood on the overflow tank so replaced it and i still get nothing. so i have no idea. can someone help me out :dontknow:

you didnt trip the emergency fuel pump shut off switch did you? Im pretty sure that is what its called.

The exact same thing happened to me (fuel pump dying) but it was just a fuse, couldn't hurt to double check.

The PIP inside the dizzy keeps the FP running when the engine is running.
It also sends the signal to the computer for spark.
If you haven't replaced it yet, your due.

THE PIP is the electronic part inside the dizzy. (hall effect sensor)
I have had a remanned dizzy go bad after 2 weeks.
The pump should prime when the key is first turned then shut off after a coouple seconds. then the dizzy signal takes over to keep the FP running.
did you ck fuses in both boxes?

This might sound like a dumb question, not trying to insult your intelligence here, but did you double check the battery connections as well
as the main engine groud connection? It's possible that when you went over the railroad tracks that one of the battery terminals
came loose and doesn't have a good enough connection to run anything.. It may look like it's on, but if you can wiggle the terminal
end side to side, it's not a good connection.. Hell I sprayed the underhood down on my car, wiped the entire car down, and then it wouldn't
start.. Turns out I had a slightly loose battery terminal and the water must have been enough to start causing problems.
A loose battery connection/drained battery sounds like it could cause no power at any of the locations you checked.

well, I already gave you ALL the information you need. If you cant figure it out, go bring it to a mechanic. Pay him to fix it, and to deal with your shitty attitude.

I've been doing my best not to be an asshole on this forum, but its people like you that really ruin it for me.

So as of now, im deleting all my input in this thread, and you can fend for yourself.
