so saturday was a good day! waxed the cobra and took her to the local car show. everything was fine and ran her threw all the gears parked and looked at the cars. some friends come up and we all decided to go eat. well the car started up fine and they wanted me to leave off the trans brake (4500 rpm's) and it did great. then i came to a stop sign and the car was trying to go dead and it did. started it back up took off made a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE sound and cut it off and parked it. then the worst happened...... it wont start up :((((((( it will try to turn over but its like your bumping the starter and thats all it will do. i think a pulley is locked up on it but i took the front belts off and still wont crank, well we got it home and put it in then shop. this morning i tried starting it again and NOTHING! wanted to see whats going on so i tried to start it once nothing, tried again... it wanted to start, then the third time it cranked!!!! so atleast my motor isnt blew up! but the noise it still there!!!! its not in the motor either, but all gauges are fine, oil, boost, etc...... but if this has happened to anyone plz help :(

can you list your mods plz.
I agree with Opal. sounds like dizzy to me.
Have you pulled codes? the CEL doesn't need to be on for a code to be present.

well manly rods and pistons, whipple 1st gen charger, built AODE, 4500 stall just stuff like that, it makes 18 pounds of boost and isnt being pushed to its limits at all

FRPS? Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor? If you blew it up, this will make your terminator act funny. It makes it hard to start, and if you get it started the idle will be horrible. I've seen this to many times on these cars. Check that out.

Horrible grinding sound.... where from? can you have a friend turn the car over, and you listen under the car for sounds (or a mechanically adept friend?) I'm thinking maybe a problem with the trans. The grinding sound is what has me concerned, thats not good at all.....

You could try to spin the car over manually with a big wrench on the crank, but IDK how the Mod motas like that. Try taking the inspection cover off the bellhousing and see whats up.

Stop guessing, get it to a shop or someone who has a scan tool, get it diagnosed and save some money. Being s new as it its, while its cranking you can see if it has any cam or crank sensor signal and then go from there. Hook a mechanical fuel pressure gauge up and see where that is.

its not a grinding sound, its like a squeaking noise

I'm telling you look into the FRPS. They sit right on the fuel rail and they tend to go bad, seen it happen many times over on SVTPerformance. Sometimes it doesn't take much to blow them up, all you need a fuel rail pressure spike to make them go bad. This is why your engine probably sounds funny because you turn it over it sounds you have meaneast cam on the block.
