Im in the market for some new parts for my 97 GT. I wanted to know if TRICK FLOW makes dependable throttle bodies and plenums. I notice they are appear much smaller than accufab's plenums.

as for the MAF sensor I am looking to get SVT lightning 90MM MAF sensor (i know it requires a tune)...thus i'll be getting sct tuner if i decide to make get the throttle bodies and plenum and MAF sensor.

I am lookin to getting trickflow plenum/throttle body combo because its relatively 200$ cheaper than accufab's plenum/throttle body combo.

I have a CAI K&N and flowmasters. I appreciate all of the input (if any) from you guys (and girls).

p.s.
I'm making these purchases from the one and only AM.

I've never had any trouble out of my TF plenum. I don't recall anybody having problems out of Accufab either. I like my TF, but if you went either way, I don't think you would have any issues. AM is a good company. Good customer service.

Thanks a lot. I think its about that time for another mod and was just wondering which way to go. Induction is my perfered system to support. I can only wish of affording a supercharger at this point in time. Anyway I hope I can feel a difference and hear a difference when I custom tune it and slap on the TB/Plenum and MAF sensor.

other than C&L, BBK, and accufab, most TB/plenum combos are the same design. they just carve the throat of the plenum differently.

I had the Trick Flow until I went with the Reichard Racing elbow. Nice piece with the t/b on it and worked well for me.

personally if i had to go back i wouldnt get the professional products kit. the plenum needs to be polished on the inside. it has a real rough casting(unlike the outside that is smooth as a babys butt..lol)

i had the professional products piece. i dremeled .25 material inside all the way around to be smooth. the only thing ill complain about is the EGR port doesnt have a fin like material to guide the incoming charge. what i did wrong was open the intake mouth too much in length. i had to black permatex it on the intake. it didnt have any leaks but it would not use a stock gasket seal.

I've been looking at the trick flow plenum aswell just because I can't justify paying damn near 500 dollars for an accufab plenum just because its shiny. I haven't met anyone who can convince me of any real difference in the two parts just yet.

there is a difference. the accufab does infact flow better. i too, cant justify the coin spread though. the larger dragon piece has been proven to be effective and efficient also.

I've got the Accufab plenum with the Professional Products TB. Love the plenum, but the throttle body loves to corrode...

Also, there's no way I'd justify paying full price... I watch craigslist like a hawk and nabbed this setup for $50 within minutes of the ad being posted.

never had a problem with the PP tb I have. I have heard the bbk's can break at the butterfly but that is the only wierd stuff I have heard. With the price of aluminum they will not get any cheaper, at least now they are still making them. I was happy to get my 94 cobra intake 4 yrs ago for $225 shipped to me. Spent a week with my dremel and was able to open it up alot as well as smooth it out.

Not knocking the other products mentioned, but IMO, you should look at the BBK 78MM TB Combo, for $270.00, seems to be a lot cheaper than most other combo's out there running a 75mm tb/plenium combo's. Definetly a plus if you are going forced induction at some point, however the only downside maybe is having to enlarge the intake tube, you may need to heat exterior just to make it fit over a 78mm opening of the TB. If you have a 75MM shouldnt be so bad, but for a 65MM or 70MM, could be a stretch

I myself like the 1 piece setup of the BBK 78MM, you dont have to worry about lining up the TB to the Plenium. or having any overlap that needs to be grinded down!!!
