I used to use a COBRA, Had it on doing a 2nd gear pull went into third was doing about 85 when i got clocked in the 40mph zone got a reckless driving ticket for $365 and almost went to jail that day... Needless to say i went up on the highway shortly after on the way to work and chucked it out the window :)

You should mount it Low on the window in the middle just like the rear view mirror, but you want it just above the wipers...Hope it works better for you then it did for me i hate them damn things now.

Not sure what state your in or if it matters but that is highly illegal in Michigan and Texas I know.... you probably already have but make sure you check with your local municipalities about the rules for that bud!

I know of a case on base where I used to work in TX. Soldier had a police scanner(bear-cat) and was showing up at crime/traffic scenes. he received a felony misdemeanor for obstructing justice and the last I heard was facing a discharge :-/

it's not illegal here in NC, and they issue more tickets in my county than any other in the state. I'd like to hear when they're talking about me in traffic.

you might be able to listen to them for the next few year but its hard to believe that they will not be moving to something incrypted or otherwise blocked.

it alls comes down to dollars and cents, it's why they have not changed the system here in a good while. i took the emergency medical radio communication class when i was in college so i am somewhat formiliar with their system but still need a bit of a refresher.

i just can't figure out the best way or place to mount this thing. . .
