So simple question. I have a 94 gt vert, crystal white, there are areas spread throughout the paint that look like tiny black spots ( real tiny), and some scratches throughout the pain ( very minor, nothing deep at all ), Just curious as to what would be the best way to make the paint shine like new, the tiny black spots will not wash off and are mainly around the top of the bumper near the liscense and along the side skirts. Would buffing work if so, hand or machine, what type of compound, any ideas are appreciated, like i said its not horrible, just want to make the outside look like new again and have a nice shine to it, thanks for any ideas or help :icon_salut:

Clay bar will probably get the black specks out and you are going to need a good buffer (not the cheap $50 jobbers) and foam pads.
This has everything you need (minus clay bar) to remove all swirls/oxidation/ect

I used to do my white PGT with a rubbing compound once a year, followed by a polish and a wax..

that's tar and road based oil, and oil from your exhaust.
clay and or some type of degreasing cleaner.

and I found that Poorboys polish/wax put a nice glow on my white car.

you wouldnt happen to have any pics would you? how deep are the scratches? can you feel them with your finger nail?

you may be able to get most of the scratches and crap out with a good wax... such as optimum poliseal which you can get from obessive detail... any thing that you can't get out with that you will need a buffer. the portercable is a good buffer, its an orbital and fool proof so you really dont need to worry about destroying your paint... that with a light to medium cut pad and polish should take care of all fixable problems...
