polished alternators??

why would wet sandind the alts case scare ya tony? Once its apart it would not be a problem.

that was my point. i didnt think about being able too break the alternator down and polish it w/o all the internals getting wet as hell.

lmao, franks on a roll mang. ya gotta wetsand after you sand all the texture out of the metal. makes it SMOOOOTH

All of the important stuff inside inside of the alt (rotor, diode pack, and brushes, and possibly bearings) can be removed.. The stator can stay in place and OK to get wet.
