So i have been reading threads all over the net and need to start my own.

I need Pads and like to brake Hard. I was looking at Hawk But People say they dust hardcore.

After Looking for new brake pads i discovered Auto Zone Sells Ceramic Brake Pads with Lifetime Warranty.

....But then i am getting pulled into the world of Porterfield.

I called Porterfield (30 mins from my House) and talked to them about there street pad, The R4-S.

Porterfield Clams....
90% Less Dust than OEM
Light Pedal Effort
Rotor Friendly
High Friction, Hot or Cold
Low Wear Rate
Fastest Stopping Road Pad Available!

Ceramic Pads from Autozone - $50
Porterfield RS-4 - $120

Is the Extra cost of the Porterfields worth it for the performance? Will i notice that much of a difference over ceramic?

Should is spend $120 on Brake pads once or spend $50 and beat of the pads and get new ones for free?

Help me out guys

I have the Autozone ceramics. I like the. However I feel like the breaking is different now then it was before I lowered it. I mean it could just be the car doesn't nose dive anymore. But they are quiet and they don't have a ton of dust. I usually wipe them every other day regardless of how much dust is on them just so it doesn't pile up. I am happy with them. Just buy them, if you dont like them your out $50. And you can just save them in between poterfield pads.

autozone is not a suitable vendor for performance parts of any kind.
profit margin, not performance, is their top priority.

become a man, purchase the autozone brakes for the street, and get a REAL set of track pads for your autocross and road course needs. there is NO PAD ON EARTH that is perfectly suited for both street and race applications - they are two completely exclusive goals.
