Possible new buyer

So me and my dad went to go get his truck inspected and the guy that runs the shop has a 98 mustang that he is going to be selling soon. It's got the 3.8v6, auto trans, and the darker red color paint job. It needs a little work here and there. Nothing major, mainly just body work. He said he will be asking somewhere around $1000 for it. I don't remember how many miles are on it but it runs pretty decent. Does that seem like a good price? I'm not a huge fan of the SN95s, but they are growing on me.

Were thinking about swapping in a v8 after we fix his truck up. This car would be his daily while so first mods will be minor.
