Possibly buying a 94 cobra, need some advice...

Its a 94 and the current owner has taken amazing care of it. It has 172K so besides normal stuff what should i look out for and what are the downsides to owning a cobra

not a whole lot different then checkin out a gt, make sure the engine is a "d" code so it is a cobra, brakes say cobra on them and the airbag does as well. anything wore out like bushing are not a prob to change out, headlamps are clear, no grid pattern on them, see if it has the factory 17 mini spare, and that its not missing.

Yeah do this, and as for the miles. I have a friend with a 94 cobra that has probably close to 220k now and he beats the living fuck out of his car and it still runs fine. If it was taken care of as good as you say you should have minimal problems from the miles being that high. As for what to look for, nothing special I would just make sure its a cobra like someone else said.

the biggest downside to buying a cobra, is that eventually, you will remove and replace just about everything that actually MAKES it a cobra!

as far as drivetrain goes, the only "cobra" part left in my car, is the tranny... and thats getting replaced when I come back from basic training!
