possibly did something stupid.... 06 wheel problems on my 95

My uncle had his stock bullitt style wheels from his 06 gt laying around after he got new ones so when i got my 95 he gave them to me. being new to the whole car business i looked up the bolt pattern saw that they matched and put them on i tightened them up as much as humanly possible with brand new lugs and about a month and a half later i here a knocking it ends up the jugs were ALL loose and one nut fell off! is there some difference between the wheels that i'm not aware of that could cause this? I put a spare lug on the missing spot and had a shop tighten them with the impact gun but is there a simple fix for this or will i have to put the stock wheels back on?

The offset is different, I use to run those rims on my old car. I used a 1inch hubcentric spacer out back and probably shoulda put a 1/2 inch up front.

Indeed the offset is WAY off for our cars but I can't imagine that causing the lugs to come loose. Did you use the correct lugs for the wheels? I'm not sure if our stock lugs are right or not. Also it's not a good idea to just tighten them as much as you can, that can cause issues down the road.

well the lugs i have on it are from pep boys so they probably suck but im getting new lugs meant for the rims today or tomorrow. So what you're saying is i need spacers?

put some spacers on there and tighten your lugs to 100ft-lb that's what I do and I've never had an issue

offset like theyve already said is rediculously off from ours..i had a set of 05+ wheels and put one on and meh...but you shoulda torqued down the lugs..probly why them came loose
