So lately my car started getting hard to turn when it's at idle, when I rev it up the power steering loosens up, however I noticed that when it goes under heavy load like when the rpms are high and you are turning the wheels it gets fluid all over the belt and sprays it all over my engine bay, been trying to identify where the leak is coming from but almost impossible since when it does leak it'll get it all over all the power steering lines to where I can't determine which line it is. Help please guys?

I would start by spraying it all down with brake/parts cleaner and get the old oil off of everything. Make sure it's dry then have someone else get in the car and rev it and turn the wheels back and forth. You might not get a big spray of oil but you should be able to see the line that's leaking. Other than that, it may not hurt to just check all your lines for tightness.

Okay so I fixed the leak, turns out the o ring was busted on the pressure line. I replaced it, however I seem to still be having an issue with the power steering pump tightening up at idle.

I just had this problem randomly on my car day before , I was driving along and smelled a burnt smell then saw smoke coming out of my hood and back of my car. so I pulled over, almost had it set on fire, the fitting facing your headers / firewall on back side of your power steering check that. its on the side it has a hose that is near the hot exaust header tube, my was to close to the header flange and it burnt through the hose, it was leaking all the power steering all out on the headers down the bottom near oil filter onto the belts down near the front sway bar all over the engine bay and ground within 5 minutes it sprayed all out I had 2 huge puddles under my car, make sure you dont drive it, Im glad i noticed where it was coming from before i drove it anymore, it could of deff set on fire I had my towed.
