Well I got this '96 gt from trading a Jeep Grand Cherokee with 65k more miles on it. I felt it was a good trade on my part. It only had a k&n intake, shift knob and tint. I knew it would need tires right away, but didn't realize it had a cracked radiator ( also had mud color stop leak in it ). Found some tires for the stock 16" waffles for $100 with lots of tread on craigslist. Painted the waffles black. Found a brand new radiator for a '96 for $40 on Craigslist. Joined the forum, and :lurk: for a while, finding out what worked and what didn't. After reading a post on an explorer pi swap ( which happened to be a deep violet gt as well) I decided that's what I wanted as well. The next week I found a 2004 explorer engine for $200 IN Seattle with a spun bearing. I did the PI intake swap which worked well with the explorer intake, it had 2 sensor spots on the crossover, and I had to put in a heater hose fitting in the back, but that was it. I cut 4 of the six cats out and did a muffler delete, wich lasted a day...then welded in flowmaster clones. I called MAC and ordered ceramic LT's, prochamber and flowpath mufflers to make my own dumps. I first made the catback "dumps" and ran that for a week, it was ok. I started installing my LT's on a tues. at 9pm and didn't finish until wed. at 3pm, it was the worst install experience of my life. DO NOT GO BY MAC'S DIRECTIONS, DROP THE K-MEMBER!! I scan craigslist about every hour, and found a bassani cat back for $75, went and picked it up. I was talking to the seller and telling him about my purple gt, and turns out it use to be his girlfriends mom's car, he actually drove it to prom. I did the fog light mod, and led's in the cluster/ac and also license plate lights. I found a good deal on a 2000 gt rear end with 3.73's and bought it. I ended up having to buy axles. THE HOUSINGS ARE LONGER 94-98 AXLES WILL NOT WORK!! I out new seals in it and did the install at my Apts. I also installed H&R SS springs, CC plates, Tokico HP's and 99-00 gt wheels which are lighter than the 16's. The latest purchase was an aluminum flywheel, king cobra clutch, firewall adj. clutch quad., and Ford Racing 70MM T-body. I got the t-body brand new which comes with a tps sensor for $74.99 UPR HAS SOME GREAT SALES!! Pics will be posted in order:

Nice man, I like it with the skirts off...and definitely better with the center caps on.
