Just wondering about what it cost to get a set of mirrors painted? I am wanting to pull mine and get them done and am curious about the cost.

Thanks fellas

my dad had the local shop do his for $75 when he "nudged" the garage.

I asked the same shop to do mine at the same time they were shooting the pass side of the car after my mother "nudged" my stang.

so, I guess like many other things in life it is all about who ya nudge(RIMSHOT!).

Mine are being done right now for $12something. Seemed high but this same place gave me the best price in repainting my roof.

^^^
LOL, nope that would be 14 something

Seriously though, i strongly advise against painting your mirros, unless the car is black.
It looks like maaco painted the car and was too lazy to remove the mirrors imo.

If you MUST paint them be sure to go with the 94-95 mirros as they have a smooth finish. the 96-98s have a grainy finish.

or you could just prep them yourself first... do all the stuff the body shop wouldnt do, like sand them down to a smooth finish. I would imagine about an hour with a 1500g wetsand would probably take the texture out of them... and if you're really meticulous, you could buff them afterward.

plus, doing any prep work yourself, will cut down on costs. even if its as simple as removing or taping over the mirror itself, because you know they'll charge you extra if they have to disassemble or mask off a part.
