I bought the Tri Ax when it first came out. Still have it and still works great.

I had a pro5.0 on my car when i bought it, on the stock t-5. It was a very short throw, and i didn't notice any problems with the
shifter itself. Then the trans started making all kinds of noise, so i bought a tko setup off a guy on corral, and it came with the steeda
tri-ax. That has also been a very good shifter. The only problems i had with the steeda is that the adjusting bolts (to control how long or
short the throw is) would loosen themselves out. First time it happened i freaked because i thought i lost 2nd, 4th, and reverse. I ended up
putting some lok-tite on the bolts and adjusting them to the shortest throw(to still engage obviously) and no probs. since.

I just recently went through the same delemma about choosing a shifter, so i just flipped a coin and got the tri-ax. Trust me when i say that it was worth every penny.

your bolts for the stops are probably not correctly adjusted is why your tranny grinds with the shifter. that happened when i got mine until i adjusted it right
