When I was changing my shifter on my T45, I noticed there is this black bulb thing sticking out of the side. It seemed to not be tightly sealed. Any idea what that is?

That's an air release vent for when when the fluid heats up and vapor needs to escape, so it doesn't blow out gaskets.
Thanks. That makes sense. One other thing about this shifter, it is much quieter. They give you an adhesive piece of foam to put over the whole area underneath the boot. I think that helps some. It made enough of a change to where I can have a normal conversation even though it is a convertible.

The MGW is a very high quality piece. You're gonna love it.
I've had Steeda and Pro 5.0 (my former favorite). The MGW is far superior in every way.
