If they dont make good, what you do is stop payment with your credit card company. The Credit Card company opens a claim, you file a report(your version of events), the company files a report(Thier version of events). The CC company decides who wins and will refund your money if they decide in your favor. This is the one time ever a CC company tends to stick up for its customers, so if you file the report properly you have a very good chance of getting your money back. Plus just threatening this action might be enough to get ABC to fix your problem. Threatening to sue is kind of seen as a joke by them, since no one would ever pay a lawyer over such a small amount..... But the Stop Payment with Credit Card company is a real threat anyone can do.

Good Luck, I bet it works out for you :)

This is pretty much common knowledge in the Mustang world. I've heard dozens of stories of how shitty their products are and their service is even worse.

Only one that had a worse reputation was Cincinnati Composites back in the day.

They got such a bad rap they eventually changed their name. Cant remember their new name though, same junk just under a different label.

I think ABC used to be pretty decent but seems like they have taken a slide which is why I would pretty much only buy from Cervinis and a few select others.

Already have a claim filed with Paypal, ABC doesn't even bother to respond to paypal's emails and phone calls

The bad part is about all they can offer so far is that if I return the pieces at my expense they will issue me a refund

So I guess the consensus is the quality is just okay. You will get some good, some bad but the customer service just makes it terrible to deal with.

My initial thoughts on the company when I was looking for hoods was how I could not justify buying from a company that named itself "ABCExclusive." I couldn't even take the name seriously let alone it's products. Sounds like a first grader came up with the name. A-B-C- adjective*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooo me sooooo smart, do sell parts!!

i bought a front bumper from them couple months back. placed the order over the phone and didn't have any problems. quality was okay. still had to massage it a little fit but that's what you have to expect with any aftermarket bumper.

69clark's first bumper was no problem to install. his replacement after breaking it 2 years ago was horrendous. had all kinds of problems with it. so it's hit or miss.

I have bought loads of stuff from them - especially when I lived in the Dallas area. Never had an issue with quality or customer service.
When I did get a part I needed returned, they swapped it no problem for me. Paying return shipping is pretty standard with big body parts - regardless of the company.

And as far as I know, all the parts are labled on the website as to poly or fiberglass.

My Cervin's stalker bumper I had on my 95GT fit like OEM piece. I did the prep work as far as removing the mold release from the bumper and scuffing it but beyond that it was just paint ( no other work was required from what I did as far as removing the mold release) and it fit like a glove when it was installed.

Its all about supply and demand just like any other industry. When demand is high you can bet your ass quality is going to suffer. The only thing big companies care about is having enough product to keep up. Now if the demand was downand there was no rush to get the product out the door..yeah your going to see an increase in quality. ABC is also quit a bit cheaper than the big "C" so any comparison there isnt going to hold water. Ive bought from ABC in the past on a few seperate occasions and didnt have anything bad to say about there service or quality, not to say that it hasnt degraded since ive used them but its definately possible.

You should not be responsible for paying return shipping if some idiot company ships you the wrong part.

If you want quality body parts, pretty much your only option that I'm aware of with any consistency is the more expensive companies like CDC, Cervini's, and Ford.

Why did you use paypal? Paypal is only for Ebay, or other goofy internet transactions where youre forced to use it. Credit Card is always better for exactly this reason.

I think what Im getting from this is that ABC is "roll the dice" on quality. It might be cheaper in the short run if youre lucky.

cervinis, or the big "C", lol costs alot more too so they prolly dont sell nearly as many front/rear/sides or wings, but its also been a while since i bought my hood, same one u have i believe, and abc have since then went down hill in quality imo! but not to say everything they produce or sell is going to be junk. just not consistent quality wise! cervinis kits are on point for sure! my kit was ready to paint and install nearly outta the box! abc's two wings i bought made my painter wanna whip my ass, lol!!!

Small claims court is full of lawyers. There are many fees you have to pay to go to small claims court. You have to spend hours driving back and forth to court and waiting in lines to talk to the court clerk, sometimes the clerk gives you the wrong information and you have to repeat several steps. You have to find the person youre suing and attempt to serve them. If they refuse to accept it, you have to hire a sheriff to serve for you. To sue someone in a different state you have to file the claim in that persons state and county. If you make a mistake on any paperwork you lose.

Lets say you took legal writing in college or are just a smart person in general, well then actually winning in small-claims court isnt very hard. Collecting the money is hard. You have to prove they have money in a bank account somewhere and can afford to pay. Small claims court is not like district court, where a judge has power to "force" people to pay. So plan on hiring a collection agency to collect your judgement for you.

The point is, unless you have endless money and time to waste just to say "i won." Legal action is not viable. Just stick to the credit card stop payment. Its fast, easy, and actually works.

Haha, sorry Tony. Im not trying to talk anyone out of using small claims court, just saying unless you have done it before or have time/patience its not easy. But I suppose nothing is easy :)

Also even if youre not sure you can win, suing someone might scare them into action. Maybe you will get lucky and they will know nothing about court procedures either.

This must be a new event. I have purchased 3 hoods and my tonneau covers from them and never had a problem. But I had a problem with cervinis shitty products so there is always good and bad with all companies but the way they are treating you is crap.
