I picked up a Professional Products Upper Plenum and it is missing the hole for the vacuum line in the picture below so now my car throws a code P01443. I think the line is for my evap purge valve, but I don't know what that does either. Should I be concerned and see if I can get a new plenum?

Do you need this vacuum line or can I just cap it off?

that fitting is on the side closest to the firewall. if memory serves me correct pro products doesnt supply the right sized fitting neither. you have to buy one thats smaller.

The big problem is mine doesn't even have a hole, so I was trying to figure out if I should tap it myself. Turns out it should have a whole and it's just annoying.

get your drill and tap out. haha

That's pretty much what I did. I saw a few pictures of other peoples. I'm a little annoyed it was even drilled straight through let alone tapped. It happens though. The funny part is it was the one thing I have bought for the car off ebay. And it was from a reputable company (I think). Guess they were just trying to sell their one defect.
