my 300hp mach1 wouldnt grab shit.... they had 18x11 in back, just spun everywhere... sometimes it wouldnt even hook till it hit 4th

okay.........lmao

OP, you're gonna need to get a facelift after each run because the g-forces are gonna pull the skin off your face haha. Should be good though, I ran Hoosiers on my old mustang once and was incredibly impressed with the grip they provide. Best of luck on the dyne pulls =]

Good luck if you are really set on it. I'd suggest a better suspension and 275 still. Then more and more seat time. The fastest times will always be a combination of build and driver ability.

haha, those tires are no joke, not just auto-x lol. I've kind of grown out of autocross after I did my first open track event, because I like the idea of driving ability being more important than car setup, but, I learned to drive from auto-x so it is my heritage lol

yeah i agree with you on seat time and am planning on running 275's and building up my suspension all this season and probably next year moving to the 315's. but unless you actually have been to a legit scca solo 2 where it's competitive....you then will see how much tire they use on all of our size cars to make them go fast. i appreciate the advice and am willing to take all of it.....(not going to pull a road race sn95 here) lol. but yeah....i've seen what these guys do. it's almost a necessity to keep up. seat time is the biggest thing. i am gonna use this next season for all of that. then bump up to competing for real in 2013.

that miata is running 275 hoosier slicks on all 4 corners too. lmao. no joke for real. autox is insane. i'm gonna try and hit up infineon and thunderhill this upcoming year too. all the seat time in the world is what i need.

UPDATE** got the #'s. 225hp and 300flbs torque. these #'s sounds about right for a stock cobra right?

just port the cobra intake with that setup? i'm thinking those are perfect #'s for what i'm wanting to do with the car for right now. that way i can get my driving down and get more seat time.

well the car has been to the dyno for the stock runs. you all saw those #'s. well mat posted a few pics of the progress now that he got the exhaust and upper and lower control arms in the mail! here's some pics! can't wait to get home and check it out. he didn't put the x pipe or headers on yet cuz i'm having some dmv issues right now. but it will have that stuff soon enough. i just finished ordering an msd ignition and pigtail for it, and he will be finishing painting the rear deck lid and making my spoiler as soon as he gets the adjustable hinges for it.
