Quad Shock question

I am replacing my lca's this coming weekend, installing drop springs, and I was wondering if I replace the quad shocks(instead of tossing them) will they help to give me a smoother ride(I know they are designed to reduce wheel hop)?? As always :TY: in advance

Most people ditch them, but I kept mine, I dunno if they gave me a smoother ride or not, since I never went without them. I think replacements are like 50 bucks, so what you could do is run without them, if you feel it's harsh, try putting them on and if you like it better, then replace them?
