Question about Coils

Well, I have a slight intermittent mis fire occaisionally and it has gotten worse. So, the time has come for me to do a full ignition tune up. I was just curious about what is the best coils to use? I know MSD's are junk, but what about the screamin demon coils? I was asking this because i noticed they are cheaper then new factory ford ones.

I have heard that they are pretty good coils, and a lot of people like them. I have also heard that msd's are either great, or they are terrible.

And there's those that believe the factory coil packs are by far the best.

What makes the MSD Coil Packs junk? I had mine on the 98 GT for over a year now with no issues.

Well I was talking about getting a tune with lasota racing and he advised me to stay away from MSD's saying that the factory ford coils were much better then the MSD's and i have seen other complaints about them and as 97GT4.6 said, they are either great or terrible, so who knows.

Another vote for screaming demons.. I have a set on my 98 and the work great.

i dont think theres anything wrong with the msd coil packs i had on my 4.6 thunderbird for a year and swapped them to my mustang when i bought it and i've had them on there for over 2 years now with no problems

I have always liked MSD stuff myself, but i've known a few people who've replaced them with stock, or screamin' demons because of misfire issues. I'm staying stock coil packs until something happens to em.
