So, I have been needing to get an assortment of the mini fuses in our cars for a long time because I don't like to mix and match (for obvious reasons) when it comes to fuses.

So yesterday I was at an auto parts store and I decided to look at their assortments. The "best deal" I found was an 80 pack assortment for $60.

That's $0.75 a fuse.

I thought that seemed absurd, so I checked Amazon. Found a fuse set with good ratings, a 120 assortment pack for $7.

That's $0.059 a fuse.

I could literally change the fuses ten times as often and still be paying less than at the store.

Is there something I don't know about these fuses??

sure. Do a quick search on "harbor freight fuses" and see what you get. They had a run that wasn't blowing when it should and of course mainly for the bad meaning a 20A fuse needed 40 amps to blow.

I was worried it would be something like that.

Looking at the reviews the only thing I am seeing people complain about is sometimes they aren't all there, or they think they should be a different size. I will do some testing. My neighbor has a big electrical station that can run tests like that.

well then you don't need any special equipment short of a meter that can hold a peak reading and a battery and a couple pieces of wire. I can't say I don't kind of enjoy the sound/sight of a fuse popping. Not as much fun as a cap but still good times.
