After I bolted the spider holder, I notice a few of the dog bones are not completely flat on the lifter bore. Some of the dog bones are pretty high and I'm afraid the lifter might walk out its bore. Here are some pics, what do you guys think? Do I need a new dog bone spider holder?

I think you have it on there wrong. It just sits atop the dogbones. The end should not wrap around them. Make sense?

The little nipple on the dogbone should point up.

The motor is a 98 short block Explorer 5.0 that is going into my 95 GT. It is has Edlebrock heads, 1.7 roller rockers with a crane cam and a Vortech S-trim pushing 6lbs
