Thought i'll ask the experts on here. Started reading into datalogging, got a odb2 connector and use dashcommand to see what my car is doing. Came across the timing advance which is at idle about 20 past tdc, during driving it fluctuates between 18 and 40. Seems high to me if i compare it to the V8 Timing.
Is that a normal number for a 3.8l V6 ? And can you change the timing or is it only possible in a tune ?
I know that the V6 has no distibutor from which you can change the ignition timing, and the lowest gasoline i can buy is 95 octane. Does that influence the timing ?
Hoping to get some answers, thnx in advance.
