My room mate has a 96 cobra and was wondering if you could fit the stock eaton from the 03/04 cobra on his motor, and if you could what other supporting mod's would he need to support it I/E injector size MAFS?

I want to say I read that the heads wont line up with the terminator eaton but I could be wrong.

Well the guy he bought the car off said it has stg 2 head's. Now im not sure what brand they are or if there is even heads on it beacuse it still has the stock valve covers and we havent taken them off to check yet. I googled stg 2 head for a 96 cobra and all i got was hits on patriot heads. If that is the case do you think it would fit?

P.S. we are going to check when we get a day that isnt cold as heck and windy out lol

The Eaton from a 03/04 Cobra WILL NOT fit the 96-98 "B" heads. You will have to use the the 99-04 "C" heads, but the 03/04 Cobra/Mach1 heads work best.

Page 2 has a picture of what the intake ports look like on the 96-98 "B" heads, and the 99-04 "C" heads. After looking at it you will see why it will never work without fabbing your own intake. As far as I know there is no intake out there to install a Eaton onto the "B" headed DOHC engine.

Ya, deff threw that idea out the window. He is looking at getting a pro-charger now.

you coulda about buy a termi. after buying all the parts to change it over...lol. and not have the time invested...lol

just for curiousity's sake, what all would be involved? i mean its all just supporting mods that you'd need for anything that made that much power right?
except the heads/intake..

Inner cooler
Timing cover
Injectors
Heat exchanger
Heat exchanger pump and resovoir tank
Crank drive pulley
Belt tensioner
Pulley drive brackets
Alternator relocation kit and mounting brackets

If you want to put more than 8-10psi of boost, forged internals. Thats what I can think of off the top of my head, I am sure I am missing stuff. It will cost $2500+ to do the job. More if you forge the internals.

whats better out of getting the whole motor and just putting it in compared to getting it and switching everything over to a teksid?

A complete 03/04 Cobra engine runs 6k and up. When I was looking for a engine for my coup they wanted 10k for the engine, trans, rear, and all wiring harnesses to make it work.

I have the parts list saved on my computer for everything that you need. Im am going to do the swap this summer but its not going to be cheap. I've always wanted to do this swap so that my car is a little bit more unique than anyone elses. The way I look at it is, anyone can throw a vortech or procharger on our cars, its to simple, I rather have something that no else has or very few people have. But to each his own. I don't want to offend your friend or anything, thats just me.

Post up the complete list. I still need some parts for my Mach engine, but I am not sure what other than the few big items I need.
