everyone is going to tell you repaint but its your car. i just dont think that the black would look right just cause the color changes so much on the real paint. i would save money and repaint just for the simple fact that i dont think the paint would look right but thats my OP...

I am getting ready to at least black out my roof top (paint). The color is starting to fade in one spot. I have seen several paint jobs like you are pondering and started thinking about this as well because the hood is starting to do the same thing. Once you start looking at the way it would lay out, the upperside body line of the Snive looks like it was made for this type of paint job. Did I read you right, "Plasticote"? I never heard of it for the finish on a body panel, just for wheels and other bolt ons. What is involved?

DO NOT WANT.

Don't do it. I've tried putting black on color changing paint (mine has it) and the colors are too dark to make it look good. you're not going to be happy with the results as its just going to look like there's a malfunction in the color changing paint.

plastidip. its a rubber material applied like spray paint.. u can literally peel it off if u dont want it haha it lays fine on the body panels, just need to have some basic spraying knowledge so it doesnt run

honestly. mystic isnt rare lol just hard to obtain for a respray. 2000 were painted mystic. there was a fairly decent amount of them produced. same amount as any other color.

if you knew the process to get the paint, you wouldn't do it. it would be fuckin stupid and a waste of money.

Why ask for opinions when you know everyone is just gonna keep saying paint it back mystic? It's your car, so you should do what you think is best. I personally think it's gonna look horrible half black/half mystic, but at the end of the day I aint gotta look at it lol.
