The way I see it us you're taking what was exclusive about that car and throwing it away instead of reviving it. Idk I love mystics and if I was in the position title buy one id keep it mystic. If I was gonna paint it id buy something that wasn't sought out for the color

does the VIN really say it's a Mystic? Didn't think the color was included in that.

I believe the paint code is the only thing that says the color, and it doesn't say the color just the code for it. lol I could be wrong.

my mistake not the vin.. you get the paper work and it says mystic.

how do they figure out that its mystic? when you give them the vin.. lol

The thing is, you say that there were less red/black/whatever colored Cobras built in 1996 and that Mystic was not the least produced or rarest color. While that may be true, over the entire run of SN-95 Cobras, there were still only 2000 Mystics, versus far more than that of red/black whatever (since those colors were made more than one year).

It's your car but honestly, painting it some other color is a huge shame since that's what made the car unique and desirable (and gives it more value than other colored Cobras of that body style). Even though you'll be able to tell it was originally a Mystic by the paint code on the door, it's just going to be another regular Cobra at that point...
