Like Matt said, you can usual a vinyl dye on it but it would look better and have a custom touch if you reupholstered it with something not factory.

Yeah, but I'm looking for somethig cheaper than taking it to an upholstery shop. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't just suck up the paint and never keep the actual color.

Thanks

it would be easy to do... Get a can of trim adhesive and get a piece of fabric you like. Getting the piece off of the panel would be the hardest part but that is not rocket surgury. Just wrap your piece around that piece, then glue it back in place.

Arent some of those sections in the door panel separate on some SN95s and some not? Or are they just upholstered differently some years?

All the ones I've had have been one seperate piece, but I've never taken that piece off from the panel. I'm kind of weary of pulling it off too hard and leaving a crease in it and it will look like crap after I glue it back on. I'll go look at some fabrics today and if there's one I really like, I'll go this route. This is my inspiration. I'm sure some of you will remember this panel.

it is a seperate piece, but the way ford attaches it is through melting the plastic pieces on the back together. I use a hot iron and melted them off of the same piece of my truck while carefully prying out. It would have been nearly impossible to crease that one as it was made from a good plastic, as I would expect this to be made from. Once it is off just a little glue, wrap around the sides and then cut of the extra and it would not even need to be clean since the back would not be seen. Just use a little glue to put it back together, or you can use your hot iron to reconnect the plastic.

I believe the earlier years of stangs had them seperate and later on the new edge they made them into one piece to save $$$.

First we have our superior horozontal tail lights, AND this!
