Metal brace, DS door panel - GOT IT !!

Best way to repair/replace the plastic welds?? I’m almost tempted to run a couple of rounded-top bolts (I forget their actual name) thru and use a washer and nylon nut to hold in place. Would look pretty hanky, but maybe if I did the same on both door panels it would look more like it belongs? Or am I just trying to convince myself of a bad idea?!! LOL

No, I’m trying to reconnect the metal piece to the plastic. The 2 black, plastic (round) welds are missing…

I have a plastic welder that I’ve used with staples but that was plastic to plastic. This is metal to plastic

I was over-torquing the screw right above the metal plate, which is where the clip clips in to the metal plate. As a result, over-tightening it was forcing the plate downward. Finally realized this, loosened it out to “snug”, keeping the plate level and in the clip went (no problem). ++
