A friend of mine just donated a complete 5.0 block with worn rings from a 93 fox. Is the 93 block the same as the 95? He said it was a roller motor and I don't know that much about the 95 block, I was just wandering if it would be a good idea to take my time and rebuild the 93 block into what I want, then drop it in when it's done. I only want to do this because I want to go to school for building engines and build it myself while still being able to drive my car.

Thanks

the 93 5.0l block will work for your car. the only main difference between the 87-93 and 94-95s are the front dress and timing cover. the water pump is 94-95 specific. our cars use the same front accessory drive and upper plenum as the 5.0l thunderbirds.

With the exception of what has already been mentioned (timing cover, front accessory drive) the block and internals are completely interchangeable.

If you're using fox accessory brackets, you use a fox timing cover and water pump.

If you're using SN95 accessory brackets, you use a SN95 timing cover and water pump.

Dimensionally, the block and internals are all identical between fox and SN95.

Good I will be using an sn-95 bracket. I got scared there for a min. I just bought a 91 306 shortblock.
